March Madness 2019

Day one of the Big Dance!  The boys and I made our brackets.  We each did our own thing, so we weren't directly competing.  I decided to start a group text with the boys and Demi.  I thought Demi might enjoy the banter.  Did she ever.
The boys were watching the first game, right out of the gate.  Auburn was an early game.  It started at 1:30 pm EDT.  That meant I would not be able to watch tip off.  I actually only caught the last few minutes, using my iPhone.  That was enough to totally stress me out.  It was wild.  The Tiger let NM St stay close.  Too close.  It was almost like Auburn was going to give the game away, in the last 20 seconds.  They missed their free throws.  They turned the ball over.  They didn't play the right defense.  Somehow they maned to squeak out a one point win.
We all lost the very first game.  Lousiville choked.  I didn't realize there was some interesting links between Minnesota and Louisville.  I do think had I known Rick Pitino's son was coaching Minn, I might have picked them.  That is what I get for being a part time fan.
The boys texted updates.  They "voiced" their enthusiasm.  Demi really enjoyed seeing the interaction.  We all won!

Spring Break 2019

Caz is coming home tonight for Spring Break.  We cannot wait to see him.  Caz wanted to come home to spend some time with his buddy, Dix.  Dix is going to be deployed with his Marine Corp unit in May.  Sure Caz wants to see us.  But I am happy that he was thinking of Dix.  It’s good to think of your friends.  I am proud of him for doing so.
The extra bonus is that he is not going to so,e tropical destination to drink his face off.

Bookworm

Coco crafted a list for his birthday, which fascinated me.  The list contained mostly books.  Not just titles and authors, these were specific books.  Most were chosen for the bookbinding.  Really amazing artistry covers “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” .  Classic Middle Earth artwork covers this specific edition of “The Hobbit”.  There are ten copies of this Tolkien time in the house.  There is even a copy of this edition, but it is missing the jacket cover and it has a library stamp (bought from the library, not checked out and never returned).
Then with his birthday money, Coco ordered a whole bunch of books from Amazon.  These were also literary classics.  These were also chosen for their bookbinding.  The conversation we had entertained me greatly.
